It is a regional distributor of CNC machine tools, tooling and accessories, and related engineering and support services. We are seeking a motivated Preventative Maintenance Technician willing to learn. This role will provide exciting opportunities to work for a multidimensional company in a fast-paced, growing industry.
Job Responsibilities
As a Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician/Lead, you will play a key role in expanding our PM services for customers. This position involves selling and performing preventative maintenance on customer equipment, supporting marketing initiatives, utilizing Salesforce to track and communicate PM activities, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure service excellence.
Demonstrate a basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to perform scheduled maintenance on CNC production equipment, using hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment.
Utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, and both internal and vendor resources to research parts and service procedures.
Adhere to safety regulations while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
Promote, sell, and perform preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment.
Conduct maintenance training sessions for customer employees to ensure proper operation and upkeep of equipment.
Maintain a broad knowledge of the machine tool industry and Morris Group product lines.
Use Salesforce to identify opportunities for proactive and preventative maintenance on customer machines.
Generate standard and targeted reports in Salesforce for routine tracking and marketing initiatives.
Develop tracking systems in Salesforce to systematically communicate maintenance needs to customers.
Schedule courtesy visits with customers at key points in their machine lifecycle to discuss proactive and preventative services.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
1–3 years of experience in CNC machine tool maintenance and installation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly convey the value of our services to customers in person, over the phone, or via email.
Ability to analyze data, extract meaningful KPIs, and develop actionable plans based on insights.
Self-motivated, independent, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Highly organized with the ability to creatively and adaptively overcome obstacles.
Excellent presentation skills, both in person and electronically.
Collaborative team player.
Willingness to travel a minimum of 50%.
Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Able to meet the physical demands of the role, including regularly lifting and moving objects up to 100 lbs.
